Q: Is slate fragile? Will it break if I drop it?
A: Hardness similar to porcelain or glass. A regular 5-6mm slate board can handle having dozens of times its own weight on top of it. That's why we can cut it so thin and will not break easily.But it is likely to break if hit sharply by something hard or dropped on a hard surface. If you treat it like your kitchen dish or glass, it will be perfectly fine.
Q: How to clean slate?
A: Wipe off easily with a damp sponge or neutral detergent to clear. slate plates, if without EVA feet at the bottom, will be dishwasher safe.
